Hey everyone! We are so excited to be sharing our second recipe with you here on Moda Bake Shop. We have put together Strawberry Marmalade (72 x 84 inches) using Brannock and Patek's new line, Together.
This pattern uses 2 precuts--a jelly roll and a charm pack...so it is double the fun! Check it out below...then stop on over at our blog and say hi!
If you are interested in a kit of Strawberry Marmalade using the Together fabrics go to our shoppe below...
happy quilting!

1 jelly roll Together by Brannock and Patek
1 charm pack Together by Brannock and Patek
2 7/8 yards background print from Together by Brannock and Patek
4 1/2 yard backing
78 x 90 inches batting

Cut the following from the jelly roll:
42--2 1/2 x 5 inch rectangles
84--2 1/2 x 7 inch rectangles
42--2 1/2 x 9 inch rectangles
It works best to cut from each strip 1--5 inch, 2--7 inch, and 1--9 inch. Then cut remaining rectangles from leftovers of each strip...make sure to cut from each strip to achieve a good mix of prints.

Cut the following from the background:
8--9 inch strips into 30--9 inch squares and 2--7 inch squares (cut the 7 inch squares in half diagonally once...these are the corners)

Cut the following from the background:
2--14 inch strips into 6--14 inch squares (cut each 14 inch square in half diagonally twice...these are the setting triangles)

Layout block as follows using:
1 charm square
1--2 1/2 x 5 inch rectangle
2--2 1/2 x 7 inch rectangles
1--2 1/2 x 9 inch rectangle

Piece the 5 inch rectangle first. Press.

Piece the 7 inch rectangle second. Press.

Piece 2nd 7 inch rectangle. Press.

Piece the 9 inch rectangle last. Press.

Repeat for 42 blocks.
Layout blocks as follows...6 across and 7 down...place the setting squares, setting triangles, and corner triangles. Piece diagonal rows.

Once quilt is pieced; layer with batting and backing and quilt as desired.
I quilted it with a variegated green thread by Signature in a free style overlapping meander.

Piece together all remaining jelly roll strips and bind as desired. We stitched down the binding by machine.
