Week 2: March 11 – 16, 2012
Guest Judge: Pat Sloan from APQ Radio

Pat blogs over at her blog, Pat Sloan, and is the creative talk radio host for American Patchwork and Quilting Radio Show. You can listen every Monday at 4pm, Eastern Time.  Pat is a pattern designer and is a new fabric designer for Moda Fabrics which will debut in 2012. Please welcome Pat to the judges panel for Week 2 of our sewing competition!

Three contestants will compete against one another to create a one-of-a-kind project.

Crafters may submit only one project that stays within the Sliced rules.

• Projects must use all items contained in the sewing basket listed below.
• Additional items may be used to complete your project.
• Completed projects must be submitted on the Moda Bake Shop Sliced Flickr Group {flickr.com/groups/slicedcontest} and a link to your submission must be emailed to modabakeshop@unitednotions.com
• Anonymous submissions are not allowed. A contact email/website must be provided with each submission.
• All submissions must be your own original design.
• All pictures must be clean and clear.
• No animals are allowed in pictures unless the project is specifically designed for animal use.
• Contestants must submit their completed project by March 16, 2012 at Midnight {central time}.

Sewing Basket of Mystery Items:

·        Moda Fabric used from at least one fat quarter - can be any moda collection or mix of collections

·        Flexible Tape Measure - can be any size, color, width

·        Embroidery Floss - any type or color.

Unfortunately, this is the time where one very talented contestant will be SLICED from the competition. All the contestants have shown unbelievable talent in their creativity and design.

I'm Rebecca Roach & I live in Austin, TX. If you don't count the quilted wall hanging class my auntie forced me to take in 3rd grade, then I've been a quilter since 2004. I primarily make applique quilts for shows, but two years ago, I decided to try writing patterns & started Frybread Quilts & Cuterie.
