Trifle Dish Sew-Along

Today we are kicking off a fun Moda Bake Shop sewing challenge! We asked our Chefs to use their favorite pre-cuts to design a block to make up a row quilt. The blocks are sweet as can be and Oda May picked her favorites to layer together in a wonderful project that we are calling the Trifle Dish Quilt.

Each post in the Trifle Dish Sew-Along includes instructions to make the block shown with fabric requirements for that block and row. Instructions typically include options for using a few of our different pre-cuts. The Trifle Dish Quilt was designed to be scrap-friendly and to allow you to combine your favorite Moda Fabrics collections. Our version of the Trifle Dish Quilt is made using Storybook by Kate and Birdie, Mirabelle by Fig Tree and Co., and basics from the Moda Dottie line.

Looking forward to it. I'm glad you've got the catch up though as I'm away for the first couple of rows xx

Where is the information for today? I've looked everywhere. Is today just an announcement or are there supposed to be pattern(s) and directions?

It appears to me that Craft Sisters don't have their tutorial ready yet. Be patient people :)

I found it! You do need to click on the Robin's Blog tab at the top to access the block. Happy sewing everyone!

I finally found it, too!
Thank you very much.
Next question: How do I print that?
Is there a little "printer"-logo hidden somewhere on that page????
I don't see anything and printing everything that is not necessary for the sew-along is a nuisance.

There is a 4 page pdf file with the block instructions that you can download and print out. Just click on the pdf file at the end of the first paragraph on the blog.
Thanks.

I just looked at the first tutorial. Are we supposed to make only one block? I thought a row quilt was several. I'm confused did I miss something?

Podunk Pretties said...

Oops! Silly me, I found what I was looking for!

CruiseFan said...

Oh yes- now I saw it!
I am already printing....
Thanks for your quick response!

Rosemary B here
I just want you to know that this sew along looks so fun.
I cannot join in right now. This makes me sad but I am doing an important thing, taking care go my 91 year old parents. They are adorable but they are a lot of work.
I will print out each recipe and cheer all of you on.
One day I want to make this. Right now I just wish I could join in.
We have two very busy months packing up the house in Maryland and moving all of mom and dad's stuff to ashby ponds on August 4th.
Thank you Moda
I really love all of your projects and this one looks sooooo fun
Love Rosemary

Hi Oda May, will there be a link up of for those sewing along to show their rows and quilts? It would be so much fun to see everyone's finished project. Happy patching!

Jeanne said...

Just found this, and I'm tempted. How large will the finished quilt be?
