Flashback Friday: Los Cabos Bowtie Quilt

Happy Friday! It’s a sunny {almost} summer day here at my house in Texas and I’m ready to play with some bright fabrics. Los Cabos Batiks is summery and happy fabric. The batiks are a bit stiffer than quilting cotton, making them a little bit easier to manage the y seams in this bowtie quilt.

If you would like to make your own bowtie quilt, grab a layer cake and check out the {full tutorial} by Ann McKinney.

Very nice tutorial – I saved it already for those days when I will have some more time….
I recently bought a Layer Cake of fantastic Batiks; they will be THE partner for this nice pattern.
Thank you very much for sharing.

Why not just use a four patch alternating with a snowball patch with small corner tabs? No need for y-seams.
