Today we have a special guest joining us to share her Moda Bake Shop Birthday quilt-along project! Please welcome Susan Ache, also known as yardgrl60 on her immensely popular Instagram account.

If you are looking for inspiration, look no further. With a deep love for Fig Tree and Co. and incredibly speedy sewing skills, Susan’s feed is full of beautiful quilt and fabric photos.

She’s no stranger to our Spell It With Moda blocks. In fact, her clever summer-themed quilt was a big inspiration for our quilt-along.

Her latest one is a fun Dr. Suess-inspired top that will fit in wonderfully in her sunny Florida home. She used a variety of Fig Tree and Co. lines, including the latest collection – Strawberry Fields Revisited. Susan’s quilt finishes at 45″ x 56″.

Susan says:

The Spell it with Moda letters are half sized. The single fish came from @elaine.summercrafter (her pattern is called Just Keep On Swimming) and the double fish came from the book Block Magic, Too!

Thanks for sharing, Susan! We’d love to see what you are sewing. Link up in the comments and be sure to tag @modabakeshop on Instagram when you post pictures of your ABC quilt-along project  – or any other Moda Bake Shop project you’re working on.
