NOTE: This quilt-a-long has wrapped up. If you are looking for the full set of embroidery patterns and quilt assembly instructions, please visit the final post {here}.

Hello again! I’m so excited to share Block 8 {Bee Simple} with you, because it’s my favorite in the whole quilt!

I love the sweet simplicity of this block. It really stands out and looks stunning, even though its design is so simple.

I’ve chosen to use one of my favorite stitches for the stem — the threaded backstitch. You can download the PDF file for this block {here}

Block 8 (1 of 2)

Included below is a video tutorial to show how I do this stitch. Oh, and don’t be alarmed — that’s the same old me. Just a fancy new hairdo šŸ˜‰ As usual, feel free to share your work on social media with the hashtags #beeutifulQAL, #beesimple, and #summersewingcamp.

Until tomorrow, happy stitching!

Pamela
