Countdown to Christmas: All Roads Lead Home

The countdown is almost complete, just a few more blocks to go!  Hi, I’m Pam from Longarm Quilting by Pam Mildren & Designs.  This block is called All Roads Lead Home brings back fond memories of my family waiting to begin the Christmas celebration until the snow subsided and I could safely drive home! That was many years ago, and as a mom now I would do the same!

This block finishes at 6″ x 6″.

Draw a diagonal line on the back of each white 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ square.

With the 4 Green 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ place a white 1 1/2″ x 1 1/2″ square on adjacent corners. Stitch, flip, press and trim as done with the red squares.

I love quilting!Scrap quilts are my absolute favorites! Red is the color that draws in my attention. As a professional longarm quilter I have the pleasure of working on many quilts from vintage to contemporary, all beautiful in my eyes. Pattern development and publishing is a new pursuit, focusing on the use of Fat 8th Bundles of fabric.I love to learn new techniques, try new notions, and absorb all there is to enhance and enjoy the quiltmaking process!

Leaving my job of 19 years teaching psychology, criminology, and early childhood education at a local college allows me the time to enjoy quilting everyday. That is awesome!

Such a cute block. Please re-check your measurements on the white sashing. Should it be (4) at 2 1/2 x 6 1/2?

We love to hear from you...
