Crossing the Finish Line

Our Choose Your Own Adventure quilt-along this past summer was such a fun journey for all of us here at the Moda Bake Shop. I know from our Facebook group and social media posts, that many of you out there are still sewing along. I am usually one of those who does quilt-alongs long after they’ve ended so I know how it goes! Today I thought I’d check in with our Chefs and Camp Counselors to keep you inspired – and also to show off this fun quilt-along for anyone who is looking for a new project this year.

And the same quilt by reader Stephanie, also recently finished:

It’s absolutely never too late to finish a quilt! Oda May’s challenge to you this month was to Layer It Up so it’s a great time to pick something you love and finish it and have one more cozy quilt to snuggle under this winter.

These quilts turned out beautifully!!! Each lovely in their own “adventurous” way!

I am at the flying geese stage. I had company the week before I went back to school and did not get finished …. This has inspired me even if I only get a few geese made a week I’m going to get back to “My Adventure! I love the Christmas quilt. Would be fun for any holiday.

I’m sewing the last round of flowers by hand, needle turn appliqué, so it’s taking me a bit more time. That’s my excuse anyway.

I’ve jumped in after the end, because everybody’s work was so beautiful, and my summer was mostly spent away from my sewing machine. I’m enjoying this a lot.
