Hi, Everyone! It’s Jessica here – @jessicadayon– and today. I am sharing my Sun Flare Block with you as part of our MBS At The Sea Shore Summer QAL. Let’s get started!
Hi, Everyone! It’s Jessica here – @jessicadayon– today sharing one of the setting options for our Summer 2019 QAL. Are you excited for our summer camp Quilt Along this year? I had a blast last year and am excited for this year too! I am so exited that we can offer you different quilt settings and lots of blocks to put in them. You can truly customize this quilt to be exactly what you’d like it to be.
Hi, Everyone! It is Jessica Dayon (@jessicadayon) here today and I’m here to share with you my new layer cake pattern! I love buying layer cakes! Sometimes I have a tendency to hold on to them though because I don’t know exactly what pattern to use for them. Because of that, I am ALWAYS looking out for new layer cake patterns. I often want to see how big I can make a quilt while only using one layer cake 😉
This quilt is very simple and only uses one block (with the fabric laid out differently to make 2 blocks). I find that I come back to this block over and over. I really love it and it’s really versatile. This quilt is fast and fun. It uses only one layer cake (plus background and some accent fabric) and its pretty big, finishing at 86″ x 86″.
Let’s get started with the pattern!
Hi, Everyone! It is Jessica Dayon (@jessicadayon) and today I’m here to share an idea on how to incorporate a quilt panel into a quilt block!
I really love quilt panels but I often struggle with how to actually use them in a quilt. Today I am going to show you how to make a log cabin style block with a quilt panel! You’ll be able to use this method and make any size quilt you’d like!
Hi, Everyone! It is Jessica Dayon (@jessicadayon) here today sharing a quilt pattern with you using Cheeky by Urban Chiks! I loved this line as soon as I saw it and knew I wanted to do something special with it. The pinwheels that I’ve composed this quilt of give off a vintage vibe and really look so pretty in this line.
Trimming the half square triangles in the pattern can be tedious but if you break it down over a few days, it really goes by pretty quickly. Also, I love that this pattern only uses 3 charm packs from the fabric line plus a little bit of border and you get a pretty big quilt from it!
Hi, Everyone! Jessica Dayon- @jessicadayon– here today bringing you the tutorial for my contribution to Countdown to Christmas! This block is called Festival and I think it is stunning in red and white! I hope you like it as much as I do! Mona Bake Shop’s Countdown to Christmas has become one of my favorite things to look forward to in December! It’s like an Advent Calendar just for quilters 🙂
Hi, Everyone! I’m Jessica (@jessicadayon) and I’m here to take you through my newest tutorial today on Moda Bake Shop. This quilt is called Lovely. I designed it with Farmhouse II by Joanna Figueroa of Fig Tree Quilts. I was so inspired by all of the pretty prints in this line and I just adore how they look together and how this quilt came out! Let’s get started!
Hi, Everyone! It’s Jessica Dayon back in the Bake Shop with you today to share with you how I make 4 at a time flying geese. When I am learning how to make basic quilting blocks, I like to try a few different ways and practice each of them. I think that its good to know all the different ways that you can make one block. This is because one way can work best in different situations. If you are comfortable making it multiple ways, you can pick which way will suit you best each time you make the block. There are three ways to make flying geese blocks: 1- with triangles, 2- the stitch and flip method (that uses corner square triangles), and 3- 4 at a time, no waste flying geese. Today we are focusing on the 4 at a time, no waste method. Let’s dive in!
Hi, Everyone! It’s Jessica Dayon (on Instagram @jessicadayon) back with Path B today- Shoreview! I’m have had so much fun with this quilt along so far and I can’t believe we are getting so close to the end. I hope everyone else is having as much fun as I am! Let’s get started on this round 🙂
